Juan Diego is a lawyer and academic interested in how companies can solve social and environmental problems. He is currently the academic coordinator of the international research project “Creation of a roadmap to regulate purpose-driven companies” sponsored by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and UNDP. He holds a law degree from the University of Lima and a Master in Law from Harvard Law School, where he specialized in corporate responsibility, purpose-driven companies and the Sustainable Development Goals. He is also the author of several publications on for-benefit organizations, particularly on the U.S. Benefit Corporation legal model and its Latin American version: la Sociedad de Beneficio e Interés Colectivo (B.I.C.).
